Accomplishments
Great things are happening all the time, too many to
list, so here are the main accomplishments by year.
2002
- The Gifted Learning Project discovered 97% of public libraries
in the United States do not have resources for patrons researching
dyslexia or learning disabilities. Lack of accurate resources
was particularly true for public libraries with limited budgets
located in economically challenged regions. The Gifted
Learning Project board set a goal of donating resource books and/or
information on dyslexia and learning disabilities to willing public
libraries and schools nation wide. As you might guess,
not having any employees and all volunteer organization, this is an
extensive task to accomplishment. The Gifted Learning Project set
the time line of five years to accomplish this task. The Gifted
Learning Project finished 1/4 of all the public libraries in United
States in 2002. Note: if you work with a library or know of a
library willing to except this information, please contact Gifted Learning Project.
- The Gifted Learning Project sponsored speakers at local/state
and national seminars/conferences and providing free resources to
attendees. Note: All speakers volunteered their time, none received
compensation.

and provided valuable resources by mail, phone, email and its web
site.
